With gorgeous beaches, live music, incredible stores and plenty of restaurants/activities to keep you busy… dive into my Hampton’s Travel Guide. While The Hamptons is best known for a Summer Travel Destination- I absolutely love heading out East in the winter to truly enjoy fresh air and a quiet weekend.
To Eat.
1770 House: If you’re looking for a restaurant filled with historic elegance, you must make time to stop by the classic 1770 House in East Hampton. At this much-beloved restaurant, diners can enjoy the best of 2 different dining scenes. In the main dining room and on the seasonal patio they serve a sophisticated fine dining menu while in the downstairs Tavern there is a more casual vibe and traditional pub fare.
Bostwick’s Chowder House: A popular seafood restaurant in The Hampton’s for over 18 years, Bostwick’s Chowder House has established a following of locals and tourists alike for their fresh casual seafood fare and friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Stop here for an incredible dinner and some of the best clam chowder and lobster I have ever had.
Clam Bar: A quintessential summer stop, Clam Bar is a quiet and unassuming spot with some outstanding food and unbeatable prices. Try their lobster salad and you will not be disappointed!
Crow’s Nest: Come for the sunset, stay for the food! This rustic eatery serves a mouthwatering menu of New American cuisine that lets local ingredients shine. While you’re waiting for a table, grab a drink and kick back by the water for breathtaking views. We loved the crab pasta and whipped ricotta. Pro-tip: They do not take reservations so be sure to get there early!
Dopo La Spiaggia: My favorite hamptons restuarant! Check out the East Hampton’s location of this popular Italian restaurant that serves up some of the best pastas. The refined dining room feels oh-so-chic and is perfect for dinner and drinks.
Duryea’s Lobster Deck: This waterfront restaurant is all about the view — and the lobster of course. Stop here for sunset and a quick bite to eat. This will be one of the best sunsets you can witness in the Hamptons.
LUNCH aka Lobster Roll: It wouldn’t be The Hampton’s without a killer lobster roll. My favorite place to stop for a Lobster Roll in the Hamptons is this destination. If you’re from outside of the NY-Metro area, you may recognize this restaurant from Showtime’s The Affair. If you ask me, the is THE best roll on the menu is the Warm Butter Lobster Roll. Trust me— you’ll thank me later.

To Shop.
The Town of East Hampton: The hear of the city lives at the intersection of Newton and Main. Unlike your typical beach town, the shops in East Hampton are home to some of the world’s largest brands. Intermix, Ralph Lauren, ATM, Everything But Water, Vilebrequin, Bluemercury, Milly, Zimmerman, Tory Burch and James Perse are a few of this town’s staples. You can see these brands here year after year.
The Town of Sag Harbor: When comparing Sag Harbor shopping to East Hampton, the town of Sag Harbor gives off a more low key vibe shopping vibe— with only a few big name stores such as Love Shack Fancy and Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop. Both goop and Love Shack Fancy have been residing in the Hamptons for quite sometime.
Montauk: When it comes to Beach Town shopping, Montauk definitely gives off the “beachest” vibe. With a few elevated shops scattered through out the town. If you’re staying in Montauk, you wouldn’t want to miss checking out The Surf Lodge Bazaar Shop and Haven Montauk.
