Aruba Travel Guide
To escape winter, my family travels to Aruba every December. Normally I don't enjoy traveling to one location over and over... and over again, but for some reason Aruba works. From the perfect weather to the delicious food... you can't go wrong. Added Aruba bonus: JetBlue flys direct and the casinos make for some post-dinner fun.
To Stay.
The Ritz: The newest luxury resort on the island.
To Eat.
Wacky Wahoo: Hands down one of the best fish meals of my life. In a super casual environment, you will eat the freshest seafood. Make a reservation VERY far in advance. Especially if you're traveling during peak travel season. My brother made us a reservation a year in advance... crazy, I know.
Madame Janette: One of my favorite dishes in the world— their Almond Grouper. ORDER THIS.
Piet’s Piet Bar: Go here for lunch!!! My favorite pier. I eat here everyday and always get the Grouper Platter. The best!!! They also have the best gelato on the pier as well.
Barefoot: Looking for a romantic evening? Look no further than Barefoot. Sounds of the ocean, the tropical breeze and your feet in the white sand, all while enjoying great food, marvelous wines and friendly, yet professional service.. does it get any better? The "Two Tuna" appetizer and "Lobster Cappuccino" (aka lobster bisque) are must orders.
Giannis: Best Italian on the island. Order pasta, trust.
Chalet Suisse: My brothers love it here. Famous bistro on the island.
Papiamento: Lovely atmosphere situated around a romantic pool and great food.
The Dutch Pancake House: Rated one of the top breakfasts on the Island. I recently discovered this Dutch Pancake house and it was incredible. Go before 10am to beat the line!
To DO.
Snorkeling Tour: Sign up for a snorkeling day tour... the ship wreck site is my favorite!
